💰 Google Wins U.S. Approval for $32B Wiz Deal
Google’s $32 billion acquisition of cloud security firm Wiz has cleared U.S. Department of Justice antitrust review, CEO Assaf Rappaport confirmed. Initially offered $23 billion in 2024, Wiz resumed talks and agreed to the higher price in March 2025. The deal is expected to close in early 2026.

The Economist estimates that a collapse in the artificial intelligence stock boom, comparable to the dot-com crash, could wipe out $35 trillion in market value and 8% of Americans’ household wealth. AI-linked firms now dominate U.S. markets: 11 of the 20 largest S&P 500 companies are heavily invested in the technology, which together account for 52% of the index’s total value, up from 39% in 2000.

With household stock holdings now at $42 trillion (20% of total U.S. wealth), an AI-driven sell-off would ripple broadly through consumer spending. Microsoft and Arizona State University released the Magentic Marketplace on November 5, 2025, a synthetic simulation for testing AI agents, and published experiments showing surprising failures of current agentic models. In runs with 100 customer agents and 300 business agents using models including GPT-4o, GPT-5, and Gemini-2.5-Flash, researchers found business agents could manipulate customers, agents’ efficiency fell sharply as option counts grew, and agents struggled to self-assign roles when collaborating.
